Assistant Professor of History at Nova Southeastern University

I am a historian who researches, teaches, and writes about issues concerning famine, the legacies of mass violence, and transitional justice in the Soviet Union and Ukraine. I am also the founder and current co-editor of H-Ukraine (part of the larger H-Net platform), which shares and promotes academic and scholarly content related to the study of Ukraine. Additionally, I am a podcast host for the New Books Network series in Ukrainian Studies.
